DLC Tech Solutions Named West Midlands Cybersecurity Business of the Year 2026

We're delighted to share that DLC Tech Solutions has been named Cybersecurity Business of the Year, West Midlands 2026 at the My Local Awards. The winners were announced on 20 October 2026.

This one means a lot because of how it was decided. My Local Awards winners are voted for by the community, and every vote is confirmed by text. In other words, it came from the people who know our work best.

The award citation highlights the work we're proudest of: IAM and PAM consultancy, cyber posture assessments, security hardening, audit readiness, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 support. Below, we explain what that looks like in practice, and how it fits alongside everything else we do.

What this award means to us

We built DLC Tech Solutions around a simple idea: enterprise-grade IT and security, without the enterprise distance. Our consultants spend much of their week inside NHS trusts, telecoms operators and national infrastructure. We bring that same judgement to small and medium-sized businesses across Coventry and the West Midlands.

We also try to be honest about risk. We don't sell fear and we don't do compliance theatre. We tell you what the real risk is, what it costs to fix, and what can safely wait until next quarter.

The services behind the award

We offer five service lines, from day-to-day support through to board-level security leadership. Most clients start with one and grow into the others.

Managed IT support

Our managed IT support covers helpdesk, proactive monitoring, Microsoft 365, backups and hardware. You get a named contact who knows your setup, not a ticket queue. The goal is fewer disruptions and faster fixes.

Cyber security

Cyber security is at the heart of this award. We set up endpoint protection, email security, multi-factor authentication and access control properly, then keep them that way. That practical hardening stops most attacks before they land.

The incidents we're called about most start with one convincing email: a fake invoice, a password prompt or a business email compromise scam. Compliance and audits

Enterprise and vCISO advisory

Some organisations need senior security leadership, not a helpdesk. Our Enterprise & vCISO Advisory service delivers identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), NCSC CAF and DSPT alignment, and audit remediation leadership.

Web design and platforms

Our newest service line brings security-first thinking to the web. We design and build websites and bespoke web platforms with technical SEO, AI search visibility and security built in from day one.

For WasteFindr, our content and technical SEO work earned the number one cited position in Google's AI Overview for "check waste carrier licence". We also build our own platforms, including xAudit for compliance evidence and Xentix HelpDesk for IT and security teams.

Why being local still matters

We're based in Coventry and work with businesses across Warwickshire, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Nuneaton, Solihull and the wider West Midlands. Onsite visits are typically same week, and remote support is the same working day. We also support clients remotely across the UK.
